So we are redesigning the dining room a bit and the first thing on the list is a new table and chairs. I want a completely different feel than we have now, which is modern country. I want the room to be more casual and comfy but incorporate a mix of traditional, mid-century and a touch of industrial style – to flow better with the rest of the house. These few photos pretty much express what I’m going for and I’m looking forward to putting it all together. We will have to lose the cabinets in the space because they are too dark so another storage piece is on the list as well. Once that’s done, I can decide if taking down the wall separating the room from the kitchen makes sense. We need much more space and that will do the trick but it’s definitely a big decision. For now, table shopping is where it’s at.
