I am a BFA graduate with over 6 years of experience in the field. Creating unique spaces that are authentic, beautiful, and budget friendly is a true passion of mine. Not everyone has tons of money to put toward designing a room, a house, or an event. Using your skills, talents, and knowledge to make change is not that hard. Some may need just a little guidance. That is what yours truly is here for. To inspire all people who desire style while keeping money in your pocket. Beauty doesn’t have to come with a huge price tag. DIY, take all the credit, and have fun in the process.
I am the sole owner and designer of Gray Star Design, a small design studio specializing in wedding invitations, event stationary & decor, and custom album design. My style is clean, fresh, and modern with a touch of whimsy and vintage flair. Being in the event business has always been a dream of mine so taking the plunge in 2013 to start the business was very exciting. It has been one of the best decisions I’ve made and I couldn’t be happier. I also do graphic & web design on the side, as I have been a freelancer since 2008.
My husband, Dan, and I bought our first home February 2012 and have been super busy with remodeling and making it our own. I am sure you can imagine my excitement now that I have a whole house to design! Make sure you check out my blogs of the before and after shots.
On May 20, 2012, Dan and I tied the knot and it was such a beautiful day. I finally got to design my first real big event and I must say it was an experience to remember. Dan and I were so happy to share our vows and celebrate with our closest friends and family, including the various animals that reside on the farm. My dream vintage farm wedding was a blast!
