Chez Renee is a unique shop filled with rustic and vintage items, some authentic and some reproductions. A friend passed the link along to me awhile ago and I am so happy she did because its right up my alley. Owners, Renee and Connie are a mother daughter team that paired up to find beautiful items and they surely succeeded.

I love the design of their website just as much as the items they carry. With neutrals taking the stage, they highlight parisian details that have an indie flair. It’s cute, fun and whimsical. In addition, its easy to navigate which is essential. Chez Renee has been featured in many magazines including Elle Decor, Get Married and Martha Stewart Living. I am sure you can understand why they are getting lots of buzz.

Here are a few items I simply adore from this shop. I hope they bring you some inspiration for decor in your home or garden. They definitely have for me.

I love shops that carry vintage inspired items and clothing. One of my favorites just came out with a new bridal collection I had to share. I came across Ruche about a year ago and was very happy with their selection. I mostly like their dresses but the shoes and accessories they sell are really awesome too. Not to mention, their vintage inspired jewelry.

The shop’s new bridal collection, To Have to Hold, has an array of antique style dresses for the bride and bridesmaids as well as accessories. The selection may not be huge right now but there are some nice choices if this is the style you are going for. I am sure they will have more as time passes but it’s certainly a good start.

The porch has got to be one of the best things about a home. Whether in the front or back, they allow you to enjoy the beauty of nature while having the comfort of being in your own personal space. There are endless possibilities when designing a porch. However, it should be an extension of your home and reflect the aesthetic expressed throughout the interior. Of course there is room for experimentation but the main elements of your design should be introduced, especially if its a front porch.

Here are a few porches I found to be beautiful. Not only are they all inviting but comfortable and cozy as well.

I love the garden fresh feel of this porch. It’s rustic and lived in look is appealing because it invites you to take a seat and enjoy the surroundings. The neutral tones of the elements used such as brick, wood and stone, brings the whole space together while the few decorative elements add a touch of whimsy.

With romantic touches and cozy pieces, this porch is a perfect place to gather with friends and have lunch or an evening cup of tea. Flowers add a lush look adding that natural country style.

A nice splash of Americana and the natural rustic wood tones allows this space to feel laid back and cozy. The few pops of color keep the overall look stylish without looking overdone.

I love how the greenery is the main character in this porch. Showcasing nature’s darker tones really brings warmth and life to any space. Enjoying its rustic appeal, you can drift away into endless gardens of Mother Earth’s bounty.

Shabby chic and rustic elements turn this porch into a piece of art. Chippy pieces of antique furniture and unexpected elements showcase a collection worth taking a picture of.

When creating a successful wedding, it all comes down to the details. Even a large event such as a wedding relies on a theme, palette and unique decor that tie into the chosen scheme with ease. You don’t want to overdo it just as much as not doing enough, which can easily happen with a small budget. Knowing what you want is a start. Being able to put it all together is what will make or break the overall design.

I feel the biggest problem most people have is seeing the bigger picture. Some can have a great idea but not a strong enough vision to pull it together or even see the end result . Getting help shouldn’t be hard. That’s what designers are for. But sometimes, if you can combine fun items you like, those details that are so important come alive. Then being able to cross the finish line and look back at an amazing event is priceless.

Here are some fun party items for all events that I hope inspire you to create the party, gathering or wedding of your dreams. Remember to relax, be open minded and stay true to who you are. This is the fun part!
