This morning for our weather study we read Water is Water by Miranda Paul, one of my faves. Then we practiced letters and writing with a worksheet by @habitatschoolhouse and a fun find and count worksheet from @magichomeschoolbus.
Still learning about weather over here and there is so much to do! Today we focused on clouds and wind.
used the book Clouds by Mary Meinking and beautiful cards by @the.hidden.way as reference
colored letter pages for CLOUDY and WINDY and pasted them in our nature journal, along with drawing a picture that matched and cut/paste illustrations from @magichomeschoolbus
made our own cards with cotton balls from @magichomeschoolbus showing the 3 main types of clouds
watched a video about all types of weather from Kids Learning Videos and another about floods from Peekaboo Kidz
We also completed a few worksheets to practice numbers and letters. After lunch we will do a few more things on my list.
It’s weather week in our nature study so we started with marking the weather on our chart and then Elliot finished coloring his weather wheel I got from @magichomeschoolbus. We then continued to learn about temperature, precipitation, clouds and the various types of weather…
read Weather Words and What They Mean by Gail Gibbons
looked over worksheets from @habitatschoolhouse
completed a coloring page from @magichomeschoolbus
colored letter pages for SUNNY, RAINY and SNOW and pasted them in our nature journal, along with drawing a picture that matched and cut/paste illustrations from @magichomeschoolbus
There is so much to learn about weather! We will probably continue this a little longer than a week.
