Life isn’t a competition. We all have unique talents and personalities and that’s what separates us from everyone else. When it comes to the design field, I’ve never felt I needed to be better than anyone else or that anyone was better than me. But at the same time I accepted that some could do certain things better than I could and that was fine. Still is. Artists are all on the same team and we should always support each other. We have a special job to do and that’s to bring more beauty to the world. We should not be competing with each other.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That being said – we must also know what it is that helps us stand out among the rest. Because we want to show potential clients how good we are at what we do and grow our business. It’s smart to focus on your best skills and market those the most so people who need those type of services can pick you out faster. And this allows for more experience, which in turn helps you to bloom even more beautifully.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s always been hard for me to choose a niche in the arts because I love to do so much in the field. Even when I was studying design I had a hard time deciding my major. It took me awhile but I finally graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design. This allowed me to take a bunch of fine art classes to strengthen my drawing and painting skills while also gaining knowledge in graphic arts and photography. I saw it as the best of both worlds. And even though I focus on marketing and branding, having the history of illustration, photography and creative writing on my side I find it’s very beneficial to my business to have a well rounded education in the arts. Not to mention, decades of professional experience in the design field. And this, plus my personality and work ethic, is what makes me stand out from the rest.

So if your business needs an upgrade or you’re starting out fresh and you’re looking for a designer who is experienced, efficient, and easy to work with then contact me today and we can chat.

Created a sales page for a pretty rad client of mine @manjari.gopika.yoga last week to feature her upcoming yoga course, Empowered Practice. This is her second course she has offered and I can only imagine it will be as successful as the first. We kept the design aligned with her branding, with bold text and pops of color. Always a pleasure working with Manjari! If you are ready to challenge your body and open your mind check this course out. It will provide you with progression, inspiration, and the opportunity to transform your practice into an adventure in possibility. I highly recommend! So excited this project is finally LIVE. I’ve been working with Malaine Lea for awhile now and redesigning her website was something I always wanted to do. And here we are! We updated her color palette and brought in some new elements, as well as give her site an overall new look and build it on a new platform. I love it and she loves it and that makes me happy. She’s launching a few new courses and also has an awesome group on Facebook for entrepreneurs so definitely check them out. I always enjoy watching her videos and leave with some type of clarity or inspiration. When you have a moment visit malainelea.com and take a look around. It was great working with you on this Malaine!

When Cindy reached out to me from Well Animal Institute about updating their website I was excited to get started. They needed a completely new build with focus on their school so I moved them to a new platform and designed a fresh new site. They wanted their branding updated as well but to match another website/company they had so that part was easy. The final product came out awesome and I’m so happy they like it. I kept it pretty streamlined and organized the important information students need, while throwing in pops of color here and there. This updated version is a huge step up from their old website which was WordPress created like 10 years ago. I wish them all the luck and success they deserve and am always proud to support animal wellness of any kind. You can check them out at wellanimalinstitute.com.
