When you had a bad day and you are super stressed and have no patience left and find a way to blame yourself because you are supposed to make sure everything is going as planned and find solutions and fix all that isn’t working but the truth is you’re only human and need to give yourself a break.

There are times when you just need to be about being better to yourself. And it’s in those darker moments when you need it most.

Pause. Breathe. Let go. Rest.
My recipe for being better.

I think this is really important to remember. Especially when we feel overwhelmed and stressed and simply not good enough. Today during the solar eclipse I am taking some time to be conscious of any negative energy that may be influencing my thoughts and feelings and letting it all go. I am ready to welcome calm, peace, and all good things that are waiting on the horizon. Accepting the earths guidance, I channel everything within me to be stronger, more focused, and better at accepting the things I don’t have control of.

This is a great opportunity to cleanse your soul and allow for a renewal of energy and I hope you all get to enjoy the event today.

I have always been an organized person and keeping my home tidy is big deal. Now that I am a mom, I’ve had to make room for our son’s toys and other stuff that take up space. I always see parents showing the mess in their house they just don’t have the energy to clean up, mostly because the kids just make a mess again so they see it as a waste of time. This is not me, lol. There are a bunch of ways to store toys and not let them overcome a space. And it can be done in style! Here are a few tips to help you get your home in tip top shape and have the play areas your kids need. If you don’t have children, you can also benefit from these helpful suggestions too!

Bins and baskets are always a win win. Not only are there so many options out there, they are pretty affordable and tend to go with all types of styles.

Boxes and crates are cool too because you can stack them and design your own structures. Plus, they immediately turn your storage items into accessories, so you will want to use items that are nice to look at. This may help your children to get involved in cleanup time too!

Containers you can see through are nice when you need to keep smaller things tidy. And its another opportunity to incorporate a little bit of fun into the space.

And then you have old fashioned shelving. You can never go wrong with these. Whether they are on the wall or stand on their own, arranging shelves is always fun. Put pretty things on display and keep it fresh.

I said this to a friend today that is feeling very overwhelmed and stressed. As I wrote it, I repeated it again in my head and thought it was pretty damn clever. I told myself I would take my own advice and remember that we don’t need to be moving so fast all the time. Whether we are running a business, have a family to take care of, or just have a lot going on (or maybe all 3!), it’s important that we slow down and be present in the moments we create and share. Getting lost in the ‘busy’ sucks. We are living our lives day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute…and it all goes by so fast. Too fast. Why not ‘be’ in all the moments? Like I told my friend, breathe and pause when you need to. Our lives are so precious and when we look back on memories, it’s an amazing feeling to be able to say you were truly in them, taking it all in. Because we are all worth it.
