My silly boy on his first day back to school last week. He is such a light in my life. Always smiling and laughing and just overall happy. It’s a beautiful thing to see. Lately I’ve been so proud of him. Mostly because he is finally potty trained. Last Sunday we put the underwear on and didn’t turn back. Within a few days it was official. There were many attempts before this so you can imagine how excited and relieved I am. If you have kids you know how much of a big deal this is. Also, Friday was his first full day of school and he did great. Like I said, I am just so proud of him. Being a mom is a crazy job but I am pretty damn lucky to have this sweet, kind, and amazing little boy to keep me on my toes.

Animals are amazing and never deserve to be harmed or abused. My whole life I have loved animals and once I opened my eyes to the horrors of the food industry and beyond I became vegetarian and never turned back. Over 10 years of dedication to prove my support in all areas of my life and I am proud and happy to be a part of the cause. I believe all earthlings deserve a life without harm, abuse, and death for no reason.

This year for my birthday I am raising money for Mercy For Animals and your contribution will make an impact, no matter how much you donate. Every little bit helps. Since 2018, MFA has potentially impacted 65.5 million animals through corporate animal welfare policies, 40.7 million through legislative policies, and spared 212,900 through institutional food policies. Help them do the good work and fight for animal rights everywhere.

This truly resonates with me because as long as I can remember I felt an urge to create. Anything really. The arts just happened to be the true connection I had with the people around me. It enabled me to express myself in ways that were necessary. Whether it was drawing, capturing my vision through a lens, writing and playing music, digital design, creating unique spaces, collage, putting my thoughts and feelings on paper, or painting… I dove in and opened myself up to theworld. Creating was something I was born to do. It keeps me alive. It gives me purpose. The desire that fuels the fire within me will never fade. It’s just not possible. I simply cannot imagine who I would be without it. So I honor the gifts I hold and spread as much beauty as I can. I’m just so grateful.

I always say simple is best. And it especially applies to design. Expressing an emotion or idea through art should be easily understood. You want as many people as possible to be able to connect with you and hear what you are trying to say. So when you consider branding and marketing, you especially want people to be clear on who are, what you’re selling/promoting, and also know your story. Simple, yet significant is the way to go. This will help you reach your target audience and beyond.
