I came across Night Owl Paper Goods while I was planning my wedding. I saw they offered wood invitations and save the dates and I fell in love. Unfortunately, I we couldn’t afford them but I still plan to use that idea for something in the future. As I took a look around their shop I just couldn’t resist smiling at all the cute and unique items they sell. I just had to make them shop of the month. They rule!

Super crafty team, Alan Henderson and Jennifer Tatham, show their love for handmade goods, the earth and folk art through the design of their website as well as all the items they offer. They have been featured in numerous publications like Everyday with Rachael Ray and Cottage Living as well as the Today Show. Their unique goods can be found in hundreds of stores. I can see why!

Based in New York, Uncommon Goods is a unique shop that carries various items which are creatively designed. I love how most of the items are by artists and designers and are beautifully constructed as well as affordable. You can find the coolest things in this shop but I warn you, you will want to buy tons!

This year they redesigned their website so its easier and more fun to navigate. I have gotten plenty of gifts for friends and family as well as myself and I recommend you check it out. Their catalogs are impressively designed too. From jewelry to home items, Uncommon Goods offers a wide range of different products. Here are some of my favorites.

The save the dates for your big day are the first peek into your wedding. Besides letting your guests know they are invited it shares where and when you chose to have your wedding. I feel they should always reflect the bride and groom and the theme or style of your event. If they are not cohesive with the formal invitation it gets a little confusing.

I have seen some, along with the invites, that didn’t go with the wedding at all and it just doesn’t make sense to me. I know not everyone is a designer, but that is why you have a designer create them for you. It’s just disappointing when nothing really goes together. It doesn’t have to be matchy matchy but it should all have the same feel. It just shows the event wasn’t planned right or the bride and groom don’t care much about details.

As you know, I have been creating a whole line of event decor as well as invites and save the dates. I am working on some more postcard save the dates because people really seem to love them but I wanted to share the three wedding suites I currently have listed in my shop.

They all include an RSVP card as well as a direction card and white classic envelopes. I offer three other choices for the envelopes at no charge and the option to switch out the direction card for a reception card if the ceremony is in a church. And of course plenty of add ons to choose from. With them all printed on 120lb wove paper by me, my clients are getting the best service and materials, guaranteed.

Any item in my shop can be custom designed to match certain colors, etc., as well as creating a completely new design. Check them out and spread the word!
