On our last day of the caterpillar study we read a nice story about the wooly bear and looked through a cool book about all different types. Some of our favorites are the monarch, tent, common gray, and wooly bear. We then reviewed the life cycle, practiced our letters & numbers, did some matching & mazes, and made little clay caterpillars. Elliot wanted to make a little egg and some poop too Looking forward to learning all about butterflies soon!

We are still learning about caterpillars this week! And boy are they fascinating. We read a nice story and reviewed various types, then practiced circles with a puzzle and a tracing exercise. We also went over the letter R and had a number lesson with our marbles and a fun worksheet.

Today we continued our caterpillar study and read an adorable story and then looked at a beautiful print of all different caterpillars and the butterflies/moths they turn into. We practiced the letter C, some line work, coloring, and had a number lesson with our insect count & clip cards. Then we got crafty and made some caterpillars of our own.
